Given the new 918 has essentially reversed the intake/exhaust was curious if anyone has thought same as possible for the 928 and if so what are the advantages?
Probably cant spin the heads around bolt pattern, cam drive etc are major obstacles but they are getting +600hp outta that 4.6l 9k rpm engine.

Malcom,
Mid-engine layouts have a lot more width available to play with than we do. Rear wheels don't steer (much) so they don't take up as much room. I do like the top exhaust on the 918, I am just not sure that it would work as well for a front-engine car.

I do seriously wonder what are the true advantages with having the exhaust from the V and the intake from the outer side ...........heat must be a major consideration but the massive HP diff between the 928 and 918???? its double the hp from a slightly lesser displacement.
yes I know its -20c and we;re bouncing off the walls
