With the original rims, it would be very nice.

Thanks for keeping it in this condition!

87 5-speed with LSD is one of the most desirable 928s in my book.

FWIW, Hagerty also lists -20% for Autos
I would say a solid #2, but will be a #1 when I'm finished the re-fresh. But it was end of the summer and the car was out in the boonies so I got a good deal.

I agree $20k ish would be a steal of a deal for such a nice and unusual car.

Those "holes in the console" are plugs from the cell phone mount, I drove this fine example of a bone stock 87 stick and she drives and shifts like a new car.
Way too quiet for my taste but a great example of an all orginal 928 S4

I'd wouldn't sell it for any less than someone would pay, I'd start higher than 20k for sure.

It's easy to value these cars based on what people try to get for them, but harder to know what people have actually paid. I'd place a lot more weight on what people have paid (when known - a nice data point from Adamant1971) or are actively looking with the cash in their pocket.

To add to this, I sold my fully sorted 85 in November for $13,250. Which shows prices are on the rise for clean well sorted cars. The buyer looked at many and took my 85 on the spot once he saw it in person and drove it. Probably could have gotten more but no need to be greedy, he was happy and I was happy, can't go wrong with that.

Another price point. There is a rather nice Pearl white car that is in NY now, 87 Auto, slightly less miles that sold for just below $25k a year and a half ago. This car looks to be in close to the same shape.

Assuming all maintenance is up to date, no issues/leaks etc., that combination, $29,900 Dealer Price (Full Retail) with the dealer settling for $25.

Private sale? $25 asking, settle for $20-22K based on the market right now and the Hagerty numbers Jadz put up.

Depends on if there is a buyer out there looking for whats special about the car, in this case "special" items would be low miles, vg cond, and interior color, plus S4 and 5 spd not as special but as tick points in what the buyer wants.

Exact match to what a buyer wants and $20k to $25k.
Partial match $5k less.
Fast sale, less than a month, closer to $15k.

I may be biased but I think so too. I prefer the manual guages and no old airbags to worry about.
