When I boost a 16V car, I first convert to standalone EFI such as MegaSquirt or VEMS.

Low boost kits can get away with crude corrections to the air/fuel ratio, plus 99% of the time you aren't using the boost.

Mike , You will be fine with what is in the kit, the work has been done, I have built several Mustangs @ 6 to 8 psi using basically the same setup that have seen 6k rpm all day at the track ,drove home and ran for 120k miles with no worries. I did fry a head gasket on my 93 Saleen when I went to the high boost set up but that was expected without O ring head gaskets . I'm hitting up Carl for a kit this month for my 84

Nothin wrong with that fuel set up man. Not sure why you are worried. But feel free to buy more expensive stuff if needed. :-) lord knows that's what I always end up doing

The rising rate FPRs are fine for mild boost (as has been posted). This was pretty much the industry standard for handling increased boost about 15 years ago before stand-alone systems and reprogrammed ECUs started becoming the norm - especially on older cars that did not have the ability to reflash an ECU for bigger injectors or different MAFs. I used somethng very similar in my 88 turbo Z car before going to a reprogrammed ECU / bigger injectors. It's old school but works fine.

I ran the 928MS setup for years with no fueling problems. Relax and enjoy.

Sorry to point out the obvious, but shouldn't you be talking to 928MS?

Michael, the item you describe is the FMU (Fuel Management Unit). It is not a fuel pressure regulator and it does not replace the stock fuel pressure regulators. It works with the stock regulators.

Its installation is described on pages 35-38 of your manual.

Once you have the kit installed, I can also provide assistance in tuning it.

Contact me at the number or email address near my signature below if you have any questions.
