I got my new tires today - Bridgestone S04 PP, including road force balancing, taxes, etc for $740. I'm happy. Those should be good for the next seven years... LOL!

The ride home was rather quiet, except of course the engine noise from the RMB. It really drives nicely on this new rubber!

Great deal on the SO4s. True, I think fresh rubber inherently feels great compared to the worn or aged tires coming off. I bet it's fun to drive a car that makes noise for a change

Thanks for the review Jon. Price was my concern regarding pulling the trigger on the Michelin A/S 3s. I really want to get the Sumitomos off my car but cost was an issue. Since the Noble's seem to perform quite well, I can actually fit that in my spending and get some proper rubber on my car.

Going to call up a recommended tire shop and see what they can do for me.

 

Ive run two sets of Continental Extreme Contact DWS on my 86 944. Ive also put them on several other cars I own. They run great on staggered cars that you cant rotate tires. They are rated at 50000 miles. They have a durometer rating that is off the chart at 500+. And they ride very comfortable. Rated by tire rack as the best all around Ultra performance All season. Im currently running Dunlop DZ101's on my 84 928S and as soon as they are worn out I'm going to the DWS's. An excellent tire.
