Smile Looking at purchasing 82 928S thoughts please.

Hi, looking at purchasing a 928S 82 year auto, around 250km car has sat in garage for 11 years has not been started in all that time, car has complete service history and all paper work to back work up, over all body condition 7.5 out of 10.
I have powered up car all electrics work , i have notice a wetness looks like oil low on the front of the sump below the belts.
What are your thoughts to what this will be?

Could be a multitude of things in that area, have you started it yet? There's a thread somewhere about precautions before starting that I recommend you read first, when its running clean off the area and check again after.

Lot of miles, probably will need a lot of mech refresh parts, prices of which have moved upwards.
Price?

These cars dont like to sit for too long. I'd take the advice from Gunmetal, especially with regards to brakes. And whilst everything might appear to work now, after rumbling down the road a bit....well you get my drift.
On the positive side, they are challenging to work on and great fun to own and drive. Good luck.

What does 7.5 out of 10 mean?

If you can't polish out the paint and make it nice enough to suit you, pass, painting is too expensive if done well.

Is it a 4.5L or 4.7L S?

Is it the 928 you really want, color, model etc? You really don't want to put 10k Euros into it and decide you want a 5 spd or a different model.

Well i have purchased a different car to that one i originally looked at ...lol
I went for a 700km round trip the over day to look at another car that had just come up, i have purchased that car.
It is a 1985, 1928S2 Euro twin dissy model 4.7L, metallic shark blue, 4 speed auto, new belts and water pump just done, the gentleman i purchased from nos his cars has 3 of them.
The cars paint work is in great condition , very happy.
