I cut my stock shifter down 1.3in and there was a difference but not enough then I installed the gts shift *** still better but not enough. Now I replaced the shift lever with the new short throw one and WOW!!!!!!! THIS IS THE TICKET!!!! Very easy to do took about 1/2hr with clip pliers.

 

I have an 84 Euro. will cutting the stock metal shifter and replacing the exsisting shift boot work for the above car? Thanks, Reno
