Default Air pump delete belt question

What is the best way to put on that 21" belt? I figured I ask before doing something silly... :-)

Remove the three fan bracket bolts - add belt - replace bracket. If you have used the correct size belt it will tension nicely.

I did that on my 86.5. I used a green NAPA belt that had made by Gates printed on the back. Get the belt on the engine pulley, then on the fan pulley, and try to lift the bracket up to get one of the three bracket bolts started. Then you can move your hand to a good position to lift the bracket up and square and start the other two...done. You will likely notice there is less high frequency noise from the front with the hood open. The air pump bearings get rough and noisy. It's kinda like when you're in a room with the HVAC blowing and then it stops....suddenly aware of silence.
