This is a simple repair to the tabs on the Sunroof Motor Cover just behind the sunroof on the inside on the 928.
I noticed the cover was not flush and was hanging slightly due to a broken tab that was laying on the inside of the cover.
1) I cut a small piece of aluminum to fit in the channel behind the tab and long enough to support the broken half of the tab. The aluminum piece was cut to fit tightly and wedge in the channel.
2) clean all surfaces with a degreaser before applying epoxy.
3) Apply JB Weld to the backside of the existing half tab and wedge the aluminum piece in the channel.
4) Apply enough JB Weld to the actual break on the existing tab and the backside of actual broken tab.
5) Join the broken top tab together with the existing lower tab and fill in the gap along the top of the aluminum support and the newly joined top tab half with some more JB Weld.
6) Set a small piece of foam or other material to support the newly joined tab halves so it does not settle out of necessary clearance.
7) Let it set and cure as needed.

I think most 928 owners are like this. I will also be doing some internal door sound proofing with some really good products. Makes the doors thud and greatly reduces the road noise intrusion. Of course I will write that up and post pics.
