Congrats! and well done!!! ![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
El Guapo is handsome, not to mention stunning. Wow![thumbup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/thumbup.gif)
Is it a stick?
Let us know how many days it takes until your grin wears off.
I know when I got my first 928, an 88s4 in Diamond Gray Metallic it took many many days before the euphoria became manageable.
Please tell us more about El Guapo

Based on the throttle quadrant picture ,
the bowden cable is connected,
and confirmed by the bell housing picture,
there is not a slave cylinder, its an auto

Apologies to Alan for the minor hijack-
Crossworth, that is William Anast's GTS, it's a '93 5-speed, Silver. I don't have any other pics like this, but WIlliam might? He was there for the 3 days they shot the Panamera family tree ad back in 2009:

El Guapo is a '90 S4 automatic. Still a 5L motor but every fricking wear item made out of plastic, rubber, or metal in or on the engine got replaced. The transmission was completely rebuilt. The wheel bearings, brake rotors, brake calipers, brake lines, pads, all new. A/C was completely gone through. Stereo was upgraded to a CDR-220 with a sharkwoofer and Hans' speakers.
I honestly can't remember what was modded in the engine, it obviously has Greg's headers and catback on it. I want to say that it has a set of Simard cams in it but may be confusing it with the Turq, which certainly does have Simard cams.
Every time I stopped at Greg's in 2010, El Guapo was being worked on, one way or another. I don't even want to think about how many hours Greg put into this car, and I'm sure that Greg doesn't want to, either.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
If you wanted the most thoroughly 'gone-through' 928 that you could show with pride in any local concours and yet drive it cross country tomorrow without worrying about putting miles on it, this would be the 928 to own.
As Sports Car Market would say, well bought!

Rob,
LOVE the 'evolution of the species' picture. I hope I don't get sent to jail, but copied the picture to Power Point and printed it on photo paper. Came out looking great to be hung on the wall of my hobby garage. THANKS for posting.
Alan, Congrats again on your ownership of a great 928 - ONE of the best in the world, I'm sure.

I can't remember exactly when the pic of the exhaust was taken but certainly before much of the engine work was completed. The starter and the under-engine bits are not yet new.

Which reminds me that (of course) there are a pair of PEMs in the brains, so the car is Sharktuned and all ready for additional tweaking if that's something Alan wants to play with. Certainly not necessary but hey, it's a hobby, why not mess with perfectly good?

Glad the car got to you safely, Alan.
That car looks beautiful just sitting in the transporter.
