Wish I could help Roger but that's quite a ways away from the shops I know. Around Virginia Beach. There must be one though, lots of performance cars there.

Kyle has an 84 and a local mechanic is telling him that he must replace the complete tensioner with a new unit or they will not warranty the work. They are also telling him that they are going to use a Laso water pump with a metal impeller that they say is brand new and only costs $200.
I am trying to convince Kyle that he would be far better doing the work himself.
Anyone local who can help a 928 owner out?

Wow, wouldn't trust that mechanic if they're pushing parts like that.

Does he have an account on rennlist? I think some online support is needed also.

The local PCA president has a 928 and he recommended both Racewerks and LMN Motorsports. They are both in VA Beach so not too far from Chesapeake.

Hopefully I have convinced Kyle to do the work himself and he now has another thread going on the same subject.
