Odd sales approach, Perhaps related to the Bonwits "we don't need your business upturned-nose-delivery" -- kinda refreshing after the "LowMiler" approach. I see his point though.

How do you keep your listings up to date and remove the ones that have been sold?

Craigslist middleman essentially and useful service.

The Latin gibberish is bizarre and made me a lot put off.

Loss the Latin, suus 'gaudeam

I'm guessing GreatWhite928 will chime in, but I have seen the 'Latin gibberish' in other web sites that are under development. It basically means that there will be meaningful text in this area, but the text is not yet ready for prime time, so this is a meaningless placeholder until the real information is ready to be published.

Yes, traditionally in web development we place latin placeholder text where we want the genuine text to eventually be, so that we can sort of see the effect of a text layout before the actual text has been finalized. It's traditionally referred to as "lorem Ispum" text, and there are utilities that are helpful in generating lots of it in various quanities and varieties. For example:

http://www.lipsum.com/

The presence of lorem ipsum on the site simply means that it's not done yet, which makes sense because it was posted here unofficially, probably forcing their hand before they would have normally made an announcement. Cut 'em some slack.

The management or more likely, the moderators may be less than forgiving -try using the phrase "No Affiliation" to show that you will not profit from any of the sales.

The rest of us 'normal nuts' welcome new members with open arms and love to see what's out there for sale... and not for sale!

Best of luck...

One of the new guys on Pelican says he is doing the software for the collections of listings. Most that I have followed to a original source are from the usual places, which means no the data is not current.

I give it a too early to tell rating. Collecting information is good, but sorting and searching are what make it a useful tool.

Are the listings chronological or does someone have to scroll through all that is in the market and returning every few days. It's nice having the pictures, but there are plenty of search engines that I can do the same with and do it for any car I want. I can also filter down to specific time frame like one day and one week.
