Doh! I've been punked- this is a 1981 911 SC.

Shoulda known by the ribbed door seal (and the crazy front/rear weight GAWR values.)

We need to change the title of this thread. We can only do option decoding for 1980 to 1995 928s, sorry about that.

Wow, that was fast - tank you very much.

I was afraid that the side moulding were aftermarket but aparently not - wery valuable info.

Another thing that puzzles me are the seats - they seem to be the same as in the 911's of the same year ('82) and not the usual 928 seats.

Do you know if that was the standard seats of an '82 928 or are seat like that not original?

I'm seeing that VIN on salvage websites. It's a 2006 996, which means that we don't have options info for it. Sorry!

Its fairly common for 4.5L 928's from 80-82 to have the same seats as 911's - they're very likely to be original to the car.
