Adding an LSD to it is easy
(reminds me - I need to write the program to import my remaining Japan VIN's to add to Samuel's data.. the details are sitting in 250-ish separate text files)

Nice.. so no options RoW 87 makes it a no-sunroof 5-speed with the 2.64 rear end final drive, no radio, no cruise control, and no model number o the back bumper. A nice lightweight S4.

No Hi-Fi system or additional amplifier, seat memories, lumbar support, and so on.
It may have a full leather dashboard but we can't tell for the moment.
Do you have any picture of this car?
I have tried to find such a car when searching my new S4, and I have only found a car with one option: the alarm.
Thanks in advance for the Japanese cars, Hilton

Also old style door panels with perforated vinyl for speakers.
Or maybe not. At the time and still today Denmark has very high car import tax. This means it might make sense to buy all possible options like stereo setup and even cruise control after car has been registered. Sounds crazy but tax can make option price three times more expensive than what it costs to get from factory. There is no tax for parts bought separately other than VAT. Which means $1K cruise could cost $3K from factory while "only" $2K installed separately after registration.
Because of similar situation lots of Finnish Mercedes had AC installed at Hanko harbour at the time when S4 was new. In case of 928's some which were sold new in here were definitelly as close to CS as possible at the time. On other hand Finnish 944 got US model rear bumber since it was deemed safer than ROW version and tax was thus lower. AFAIK this was done at the factory production line and not in harbour.

How do you guys check those VINs? As for me, I only know the epicvin.com website. I've used it for some time, very nice service. But is the method here free?
