That's a lovely 991 but we don't have the option codes for it. (Kudos for buying the 7-speed...) Only 1980 to 1995 928s. Sorry!

Official VIN & Option Check Request Thread

Hi Rob,
Are standard equipment Codes available for each MY and country, i.e., a 1984 CO2- USA car has air conditioning and it is not listed as an option. I have reviewed most of your thread entries and find many 1984MY vehicles had identical options.
I apologize for confusing you with Harvey in Charlotte,
Carolinas Region PCA - President ('09-'12)
Porsche Parade 2008 (Charlotte) - Grand Poobah
PCA National Certified Instructor (2005512714)
PCA Member Since 1995.
Harvey was the first post in the thread and I thought he was doing the look up.
Thank you for the information.:)

AFAIK every '84 MY 928 had AC so there were no need for option code anymore. M573 manual AC was dropped at end of '82 MY and M563 automatic AC became standard since '83 MY. M570 became available from '85 MY so '83-84 were only years when there basically were no AC options at all on any markets.

Gotta say, if there is a pre-S4 car I would want to own based on the specs, this is it.

Some of y'all don't actually read this thread..... :)

Sorry Andy, I don't have the options for a '94 968. I'd be nervous about its ride height. I only can run the option codes for 1980 to 1995 928s.

Hello!
Could you please check a VIN for me?

I think it's a 1978.

Thanks,

You should really put this in the title!

Rob Edwards 03-04-2015 06:12 PM

Perhaps I'll PM Harvey and ask if he can change it, thought I bet it has been too long since the thread started to change the title.

Hi Dan-

'Fraid we only have options for 1980 to 1995 928s. Your best bet for a '78 is to get a Porsche CoA. May not be 100% correct, but it's better than nothing.
