Euro 928

Well after having the block welded and repaired, we then noticed the inner right side firewall had been frankensteined from a previous accident. I've purchased a complete nose piece from a '79 parts car to have this repaired. In the photos below, you can see the damaged right side firewall and the replacement nose piece in my living room...lol.

Check and double check the sealing gasket and torque values on the cam covers before you install the motor or you may find you have an oil leak from the rear of the cam covers. You will then need to pull the engine again to re seal them !! Ask me how I know !!

LMAO....I honestly wondered if someone would comment on this. My girlfriend Susie, of 4 years. Is very supportive of this rebuild both emotionally and financially. (Lord knows how many times I felt like giving up) She has become very proficient at finding and ordering parts, and is now on first name basis with Carl, Grettichen, and Roger. She looks fowarded not only to getting this thing in pristiene condition, but to showing it and driving the hell outta it!!....lol

I knew I had "The One" when she took the 928 on a quick store run. As she left, I heard her redline First, Second, and Third gears (just as I would do). Upon her return, Im standing in the driveway speech less. She looks at me and says....I did that for you, with a big smile....lol

I can barely get my dad to hit 2500RPM in my lowly 81. And the one time I got my mother to drive it she was really cautious. Even though I tell them to drive it like they stole it .
P.S you can fit a whole Costco run in the back .

We've gotten the car back from the body shop. Here are pictures showing the '79 front end grafted on to our '85. We've had the engine bay painted gloss black, and some pieces powder coated blue. Also included are pictures showing my sons assisting me in applying the heat resistant shielding on the firewall.
