Default Removal and adjusting TPS Sensor

Any easy way to remove the throttle position sensor on a 1984 928S Euro? Also when installing is there any adjustments needed or does it just sit back into place? Thanks, Reno

There is no "throttle position sensor" on a 928. Are you referring to the microswitch that contains the idle switch and WOT switch?

I have one on my car, it resembles the one like on the 944 turbo. You can see it attached to the throttle body on the left hand side if your looking from the front of the engine. My car is a n 84 Euro S 310HP motor. Part# 944.606.113.01 listed as throttle switch. Reno

Like the man said Reno......... it's a fake!!

Actually, it's simply a unit with 2 microswitches built into one block. It does not feed continuously variable throttle position information to the Bosche FI computer (like a Chevy TPS does), but rather only provides it with the notification of the throttle being at WOT (one of the microswitches) or at-idle position (the other microswitch). The indication of WOT causes the FI computer to forget the fuel mixture map and O2 information and go to full-rich mixture condition. The indication of "at-idle" causes the idle stabilizer or air-bleed circuits to function.
