Accessing the ISV connector under the intake
Just completed removing my intake for a refresh, and that which concerned me the most was disconnecting the ISV connector. Per Dwayne and David's write-ups, you can either buy the Bosch tool to remove it ($100), or do it by feel while rocking back and forth and tugging. Not much of a choice.
After looking things over, I just unbolted the lower intake/TB from the upper intake with 4 13mm bolts, and the ISV and it's connector was 'right there'. I've used a set of automotive pics to move the wire clips and it pops right off.
I'll put it back as a unit, as when you reconnect, you just push on the connector until it clips, which can be done by feel.
Don't know if anyone else has done it this way; thought I'd share.
And, oh, here's what I found when I removed the lower intake. Not sure how you get leaves down in the vee.....
