I filled the car as far as possible today, as i wantend to put it away for winter...the smell of fuel was clear after stopping... Your thoughts? Did i just over filled it or Should i get the tank down asap? Mayby drive the tank a bit more empty?

Could be coming from the vent/return fuel lines or the line going through the body of the car. Expansion tank could be a culprit as well... Might do good to take the rear passenger tire off and see if you can see better.

Like Whatudrivin said, I'd check the fuel level sender unit area where the return line is, because it looks like it's leaking from the top of tank somewhere. could be the seal on the fuel level sender unit is bad.

Can easily pop the cover off from inside the car and inspect this area as well. Hoping it is something loose/easy and not a crack in the tank.

A few months ago, I too experienced a fuel smell after filling up completely. Turned out that the pressure of a full tank of gas caused fuel to drip from the seam on the edge of the fuel pump.
The pump has a pressed in lid, kind of like a coke can, which had developed a leak.

Side note... When I first pressure tested my fuel system after replacing most the lines the fuel pump's sound kept rising in pitch as I was looking for leaks. It didn't occur to me until it was too late and I heard a loud WOOOSSHHHHHH sound that the system was building pressure which caused this front face/lid to deform and let go of the pressure. Guess I did a good job on the lines if the pump failed before any of the rubber did. This was caused by too much varnish in the tank from it sitting for 13 years. It had clogged the return line in the fuel level sender.

Anyways back on topic... Waiting for updates!!!

That's good. I would go ahead and get the car on jack stands and pull the passenger rear tire and you should be able to see the line that goes through the body of the car as well as the fittings on the tank filler neck. Check for a leak there and on the expansion tank just in front of the filler neck.
