Hello there,
i am new here and already have loads a questions hehe.

i bought myself a 1984 porsche 928 strosek with loads a elektrical problem the owner and his garage couldn't deal with anymore.

i bought the porsche cheap and wanted to see if i could fix some of it..
now i am looking for the wiring diagrams for the 1984 porsche with the colorcodes on it, all i can find are the '85 and up with colorcodes..

are those diagrams the same or ? because the fusebox is not the same according to the numbers and what they do..

thnx in advance ! and ...a save driving 2014 everyone !

Nice looking car, congratulations to the buy. In house I have the factory manuals (in german though) but only the very first wiring diagram (1978) is colour coded. Where are you located - Holland?

Unfortunately, the '84 wiring diagrams suck - no color codes, and not a lot of other information. Also unfortunately, the '84 is somewhat of a change-over year, with some stuff the same as the '83 and some stuff the same as the '85.

I usually look at the '84 diagrams, then look at the '83 diagrams and the '85 diagrams and try to combine the info to solve the problem.

aah great thnx guys !
Yes i am from holland ..

i use the "85 now, still stuck on the headlights tho..

they come out after cleaning motor, headlight switch, the fusebox, the earthpoints and the relay....i guess thats all that can be wrong ..

so thats why i wanted a good wiring diagram just so seek out where the problem could be...i guess in the relay there are some doides that could be at fault.

Presumably your '84 is a european original? (i.e. not imported from the USA). Unfortunately, I don't think anyone's ever posted scans of the "Euro" (non-USA) wiring diagrams, including the 80-83 928S and the 16V 84-86 cars.

In which case, the USA '85 wiring diagram is closest to what you have - as your fuel injection is Bosch LH2.2 same as the US '85 models.

Actually, Euro 84 diagrams are part of the standard WSM wiring diagrams for 1984. Separate pages!

I've got 90% of the wire colors mapped to the CE Panel in an excel spreadsheet, but it needs to be completed and scrubbed before it gets shared.

Ask specfic questions and I can probably answer them. Have spent entirely too much time the last few years revamping 84 cars.

I use the 1983 current diagrams. They work for most of my needs, on my 84 USA.

Dayum!!! How in the world did I miss this tidbit of information?? I have long held that Porsche engineers had to be among the meanest people on earth to have published a wiring diagram with no wire colors.

Please let me know when your wire color project is completed. I am a relative electric/electronic idiot and this would help me immensely with my '84 Euros.

Robbie is living in Holland so it must be a Euro spec car.
