Searching for parts and this happened, lmao...
So I'm just cruising eBay tonight, and I type in "Porsche 928" like I usually do then filter it down to auto parts. Well like usual eBay auto parts is full of no name knockoff Chinese junk companies trying to make it, so just for fun I type in "Porsche 928 -bull****" and lo and behold all the stupid junk like LED's and HID kits gets filtered out. You should try it and see if it works for you. Depending on location you should get about 30 000 some odd results for "porsche 928", and the first couple should be car cover or LED junk. Type in anything that implies worthlessness and it goes down to about 6000 or so, and all the good stuff shows up. I tried it with -junk, -crap, -garbage, -worthless and it all worked. This really made me laugh tonight.

With what? The stupid crap that comes up?
I thought it was so funny how I unintentionally typed that in and it worked! Jim what's wrong with eBay?

Yeah I hate it for that. You have to wade through junk. There are good deals to be had there though. Just have to wait. I got a full set of GTS cams for $200 once.

We did also, our '93 GTS, and car listings are not the issue.
But seriously, 50,000 listings for parts? Which goes back to Matt's "-bull****" trick, knocked it down to only 10,000.
(Does that mean that the other 40,000 were flagged by the seller as "bull****", or is something else going on?)

a minus anything (tested with -xx) seems to kill the automatic additional matching to anything that has "Fits 928" or similar in the application section of the listing
SO if the listing has a generic name without porsche and 928 the -anything will drop it from the search results

Well, all I know is it did work. Because the only stuff that came up when I punched that in was all good stuff. Weird coincidence I guess. I do notice now that the "Fits 928" thing goes away when you type in the -anything. Still, I laughed. I thought this may be one of eBay's hidden messages.

I bought 2! Both 1980 Euro S 5-speeds.
And a ton of parts, too. At least I think it's a ton, a few pounds at a time.
Good tip on eBay... and funny, too.
Way back I'd check eBay daily for new items. That was when there's be 1000 on the site and 50-100 new per day all auctions. Now it's a retail site with 50,000+ "Porsche 928" items and very few real auctions. Not nearly as interesting as it was.

Interesting - I have always used -Xenon -LED in my 928 search - 42999 items as of now.
I added -bull**** and it did not change the search total
