0861 so not an 86.5 but looks fairly clean. Aren't all 85/86 5.0 not 4.7?

Yea, all S3s are 5.0L.

This is the second advertisement I've seen where the seller says the S3 is a 4.7L. First one said it was a 5-speed automatic also. Funny.

3 to 4 K high unless LOTS of recent service records.

The miles are a plus though, if accurate.

I don't k now but that price seems pretty good for that car if it checks out okay. Less than grand for an 86 5 speed!
Hey Mike - nice to see you over on the 986 Forum. I got one too last summer (and love it - it is my DD). Of all the Boxster forums, 986 is the best one. And look for Pedros Garage for Dwayne style write-ups.

Good to "see" you over there too. I'm considering a 1st gen Boxster for eventual conversion to spec racer. Just trying to learn all I can before taking the plunge.
