Default 928S4 strut brace

Hi I have the standard slightly bowed and flaky paint on my strut brace. I'd like to change it for a slightly stronger tidier but still keep the stock look.

As the design I is simple and straight I'm looking to get a local alloy welder to make one for me but I need the dimensions so I can order the tube I require.

Why not get one from Schnell. It's very nice with a carbon tube that will not bend.

I have one powder coated black for sale, but shipping across the pond may be cost prohibitive.

Hi,

You can buy one of those carbon fiber in the UK;

I have the Schnell - its very nice - solid, adjustable w/ position lock - looks new after ~6 years.

I did find the cross bolts to have some play in them so I installed a brass bushing around the bolt each side to make it tight. Totally hidden.

I wouldn't make one... just not worth it. The schnell weighs maybe 2x the stock bar - which weighs ~nothing (but bends too easily).
