Default København 928 S sighting (whose is it?)

Who's driving driving a champagne gold metallic 928 S around Copenhagen with salt on the roads?!

But on another note, it was nice to see a 928 in the wild for the first time, besides the el camino-esque one I saw earlier in October. Sounded great, whoever you are!

Well, living 500 km north of Copenhagen the roads are dry and very inviting for 928 high speed driving. The temperature is almost exactly at the freezing point. Sorry but all three cars have gone into hibernation waiting for the spring sunshine.

Alrighty then. I'd love to see a Strosek sometime though!

Trent, you are always welcome for a look at the Strosek cars. Cross the bridge to Malmö and take the E4 up north. We live at the upper end of lake Vättern. A five hours drive. PM me for more details.

Wish I would have known you are in that area when we drove from Stockholm to Värnamo in September. We stopped at the lake for lunch...

Nicole, next time you are in Sweden, please let me know. Are you not from Germany or am I mistaken? All our three Strosek cars we have found in Germany. The oldest car was bought in Bavaria in 1986 and I still have it. It was extremely expensive in those days.

Trent, I do not think there are many 928 around in Denmark. Depending on crazy tax rules these cars have been and are very expensive out of reach for most people. Here in Sweden there is supposed to be about 1500 928 cars. However you rarely see one, especially not during wintertime. We had a 928 gathering here locally in the middle of October and eleven cars showed which everybody thought was more than expected.

Yes, I'm FROM Germany (Stuttgart), but haven't lived there in more than 20 years. I do go visit pretty regularly, though; twice this year. But I don't get to go to Sweden all that often...

Well, Stuttgart must be well known amongst this community, the home-town of the 928!!! http://www.porsche.com/belgium/nl/ab...ezuffenhausen/

At this time of the year, I suppose sunny CA is a nicer place to be than over here with the cold and snow coming along.

I grew-up on the opposite part of town - Zuffenhausen was waaay out there!

We did see the 928 occasionally, driven by wealthy Swabians or Porsche Executives. They were as expensive as a small condominium, and therefore out of reach for us mere mortals.

hmmm, I do have one more day on my Eurail pass... Nothing like riding on an XJ 2000!

I should've stopped by when I was travelling between Stockholm and Munkedal!

Sorry to hear you will be soon off. Munkedal is a small place. We have been driving through Munkedal countless of times seeing my wife´s deceased mother when she was living down there at the coast. When you travelled between Stockholm and Munkedal you almost passed by here.

Erkka, going from here to Helsingborg 400 km usually takes four hours or little less. From Helsingborg to Malmö and over the bridge to Copenhagen must be more than one hour. Understand you like speeding in Sweden thinking of the huge tickets you can get in Finland. Was not there someone rich in Finland recently being fined an extremely huge amount? Tell us more Erkka.

BTW how did you do with the rod bearings?
