Default Anchor points while flat bediing

Does anybody have pictures or description on where to anchor the car while transporting it on a flat bed.
Seen the latest thread about the bent rear wiessach leaf and just wanted to be certain where the safe points are.

I have used the rear tow hook, and the hooks/loops on front rails.

The cast alloy tow hooks are ONLY strong in tension ( a straight pull ) get much of an angle or side load and they simply break !

Any decent transport company will have the tie downs that go over the tires.

You need a set of these for the rear. $33 shipped in the conti US for yellow chromate steel,or $55 shipped for stainless steel. They work great on the dyno too!

Right securing the wheels either with over the tire straps or flat straps through the wheels with microfiber cloths to prevent marks is the best way. That way the car is free to move on the suspension. Also worth noting that U-Haul who rents more car trailers than anyone else uses the wheel straps.

Use caution if you use straps to the front tie downs as the shock loads of a car bouncing up and down on the springs puts very heavy loads on the straps.....

Note that commercial flat beds are REQUIRED to use special high grade heavy duty chain on their trucks , Home Depot quality just is not good enough.

I used a Penske trailer when we moved to Ohio. Used the front wheel straps and then use my tie down plates in the rear. Worked like a champ.

Default Rear Tow hooks

These are the only way to go....too much risk for damage of the alum suspension....well worth the price from Ed...PerFex.....

Carl also has a set...928 Motorsports....that have the full plate with an adjustable set of holes for performance drop links

As far as the front....I grab the chain hook up under the front skid plate...you could also use the tow hook hole, it is a little high
