Also waiting on an 87 Porken chip, I've have the x-pipe though, did make a noticeable gain, and noticeably louder, but maybe that's also because i have no cats

I have cats on my xpipe and it makes it sound meaner.

Just curious if its still possible to drive in comfort that way, like for road trips and what not. I've been contemplating a RMB

While it is a bit on the louder side, its not a droaning sound. Its perfectly comfortable for me and the misses, its mostly louder when you get on it. During highway cruising its not an issue at all.

I ordered it from Mark at 928international, my Xpipe came from Roger.

Hi John! thanks for your feedback, if I do not do the remap/optimization once I have installed the xpipe and removed the cats what kind of performance improvements I may get out of my MY88 S4? approx 10% CV is generally reported but is this going to be only at a certain range or widely distributed? Will I get some fuel consumption reduction as well? How about the noise if I leave the muffler and exh terminals unchamged?

I have an '87 with the 928intl RMB, and an X-pipe from 928srus.

It sounds totally awesome under full power, and feels faster. The noise at cruising speeds is absolutely tolerable.

vsalvato: don't worry, you'll never look back! It's a no-brainer.
