I thought 5 speed also,

I'd change the auto box fluid then first.

I found a bunch of 928 International receipts, including the parts for a TB/WP from 2004. Only 8,000 miles ago!

Good Job Shawn, I am glad for you that this one worked out. I agree with Bill about the fluid levels on your tranny. I would drain and refill with fresh fluid before trying playing with modulating pressure or bowden cable or any of the other potential problem areas. It is also helpful to have all four wheels in the air and level when filling to make sure you get right on the fill line with your new fluid.
