[QUOTE=Mongo;12790444]If your MS3 setup uses a MAP sensor, then it should be easy to set up and just retune. [/QUOTE
Map, tps, air and coolant temp. 2 wide bands . That and crank and cam sensors. Lotsa room to add stuff too. Adding speed sensitive power steering soon. MS3 pro is the cats pajamas as far as I'm concerned. You should try it.

So...it reads a speed sensor signal and varies the steering pump pressure? Or works a variable pump pressure regulator?

I don't even know how to even set up MS3 and solder the necessary parts to make the ECU let alone program it.

Mongo can learn. Not just pawn in game of life.
I didn't either this time last year. But now, with the aid of my super genius brother Doug(aka Scott Thompson) some of the more advanced functions of ms3 pro are operational . We worked with the megasquirt designers to adjust the code so the vvti and acis were functional. It was too easy, and they were happy to help. They answered Sunday emails!

Default variable speed power steering.

The 1gz has two hydraulic pumps. 1 ps, 1 hydro fan.
I ditched the ps pump on the pass side to make room for the rotrex.
Then I repurposed the fan pump with internal PWM valve.
Was even able to use 928 ps reservoir in stock location.
Next I connect it to my megasquirt and tell it how to behave.
After that comes flexfuel capabilities.
Already have traction and launch control.
Too infinity and beyond!

I recommend you throw away the manuals. That's when the real fun begins!
I lost my manuals a few years ago. Now I have more torque at the drive thru than you have on the autobahn.
Best regards, Dinsdale
Dinsdale. Clearly, Herman believes that you have transgressed the unwritten law. You of all people should know what follows now. Someone is going to have to nail your head to the floor.

Paul,
There are some that look at the Porsche factory manuals as a Religious text and have assembled incredible cars.
There are others who have gazed upon them, eaten a few of the pages and built Bitchin rides!
I am the latter.

I have transgressed, we all know this.
I realize my transgressions and will graciously receive the punishment I deserve from Spiny Norman and or Herman.
I commit these transgressions with a joyful heart, thinking only of the spirited and less fortunate ( ---$$$) 928 owners among us.
Best Regards,
Dinsdale Piranha
