A very nice one (I really like the interior), and obviously a premium price as it is being sold at an official Porsche Center in Germany - but still. Prices for good 928's have continued to go up in Europe during this year 2013.

And oh...: would I love to have several of the rosewood pieces of that car (so to compliment my rosewood steering wheel and shifter), any Rennlister who want to get rid of rosewood pieces please do PM me!

Nope, and well spotted: that should have been Cup II's as all 1994 + 1995 have from the factory IIRC.

Obviously the brake disks are aftermarket too, most likely drilled Zimmermann's if I would have to make a guess.

Is the raised center armrest and domed top aftermarket or from the factory/Exclusive. It seems to have a badge or button at the top near the rear.

And is that an LED just behind the window switches?

That is fantastic. Normally I hate wood anywhere in a 928, but that color with the supple leather and the way the wood is integrated makes this for me the coolest 928 interior I've seen, period.

Could that be a leather-wrapped fire extinguisher being held in place by a wire frame?

That's what I would expect it to be. Fire extinguishers and their brakcets are ugly by nature - this is one way to conceal the ugliness a bit. As long as it can still be removed quickly.

Hmmm - 07/95 model with cup I wheels. Since a car's model year in Germany is the date of it's first registration (I think), could this have been a '93 or early '94 production year that was not sold/titled until July of 95?

Hadn't seen the parking brake in wood before. Since my GTS is the ONLY 1994 928 that was sold in the US equipped with the factory wood options*, I'll now have to search for one of those to complete the 'package' - Ha!

Germans don't usually look at cars by model year, but by year and month of the first registration.

Since most cars are custom ordered and registered right away, this makes some sense. However, it is always possible that a car sits around at a dealer before it is sold and registered. Or that somebody buys it and simply doesn't register it.

Its very likely '93 or maybe even '92 if wheels are original. Its not early '94 since there weren't any made which still used Cup I wheels. There weren't any M718 VIN change option cars made for ROW markets. Model year changed at usual time in late summer 1993 and all '94 MY cars got new stuff like Cup II wheels.

The raised center armrest and domed top of it looks that well done that I'm tempted to say it is perhaps a factory/Exclusive option (as one could get almost anything, when asked and paid for), perhaps Erkka and/or Nicole can "chime in" on this...
With regards to there being perhaps a LED just behind the window switches: you could be right about that - although a bit hard to tell even when zoomed in the picture. A decent place for lighting those switches when directed to it (and yes: someone in Germany made a solution of light inside the switches, and there is Hans & Paul superb developed solution as well).

Only one way to factually settle this: I try to get the VIN #, as when I tried from the wheel/tire photo to read the tire manufacture date (in the off change that it has not been changed ever) I am unable to see that detail.
I would be bit ashamed for an official German Porsche Zentrum to get the MY mixed up in a sales offer, then again: mistakes do happen.

I'll get those wood pieces out, boxed, and on their way to you as soon as possible (but, here in the USA, 'possible' sometimes comes very slowly)!

I'd be interested to see the price list for that car! The wood options on my car (shifter surround, shifter, two door pieces, and the ash tray cover totaled $5,359 US in 1994 on the MSRP sheet. So, I guess the value is about $8,000 in 2003 dollars! In addition, the cell phone and modified console box to contain it was ~$2,500.
