Canadian 928s got DRLs starting Jan '90 and yes they do use the fog lights, dash lights but not taillights.

I used to wonder if the alternator/battery was factory changed but after sometime ignored it as it all works fine.

I use mine that way and they serve pretty well, I think, especially around town. Drove home one night (about 15 miles in the country) using only the fogs (don't ask why), and it was OK.

You need to be careful if you put this relay in. If the diode in the relay fails, it will allow the headlight arm to continue past the stop point and will impact your condenser causing anywhere from a nick (if you are super lucky) to a destroyed condenser (more likely).

I developed a plate to protect your condenser from damage should you travel down the road of the relay. I developed this because this happened to me and I don't want to see it happen to anyone else. I sell the part for $25 plus freight if you are interested. Just PM me.
