Default Cluster problem, need advice

After reinstalling by instrument cluster into my newly recovered pod the following issues have appeared.

The temp gauge and the fuel gauge go bonkers upon start up as well as the speedo jumps up to 40mph ( standing still).
Once underway the temp and fuel stay pegged to the top but the speedo settles down. The amp meeter jumps a bit as well but not bad. Oil seems to be OK and the tach works.

I had replaced all the bulbs and added 3 new LED's and sliver mylar on the prism's.

The instrument rheostat will turn off the radio when adjusted
Still very little illumination

I had purchased a perfect cluster from and 84 only to find out that they are not compatible as the back side of mine is beat up and has a broken tab.
Is there anyone that can rebuild a cluster and or is there a solution?

On mine I needed to make sure the edge connections were all making contact. I used a dental pick to lift each contact out of the plastic on each side to reform them such that they would contact the film better.

Worth a shot for no cost other than some labor on your part.

It's worth a shot. It's a pain to take it all apart each time.....but I'm getting better at it
