Default printed circuit board on instrument panel

82 928s euro, pcb not available anywhere, where it plugs into harness is badly dry rotten and peeling, a place in claif thinks it can be repaired, question is can the car still be driven with the instrument panel removed, also might have to install a set of guages if it cant be repaired, any ideas on this issue,

the car should still run with the pod removed,
check the charging system after you have revved the engine to see if the alternator is charging

I drove my '81 around for about a month without pod/instruments in. Other than the mess of wiring I had no problems.

If you lost oil pressure or got hot, not so good.

You can probably clean up those connections, the peeling plastic doesn't mean it is shot. Scotch tape can be used to secure it, and the contact points carefully cleaned of the oxidation.

Please post a close up for us to see how bad.

I repaired mine.
