Bought that '78 Euro that I was looking at...

It is now my 928 and it is sitting in the driveway!
I finally paid $3500 (about $3200 US) and so far I am happy with the purchase (it has been about 4 hours now...)
An hour and a half drive home with no problems on a variety of roads from freeways to downtown stop and go - the temperature stayed well within limits, all critical systems worked properly... and that big V8 rumble stirs a young man's heart (I'm guessing here... me not being particularly young).
Lots of little things to take care of, The brake light fuse, hatchback lock, drivers side window doesn't move, no spare or jack, no rear wiper motor etc.
I love the wheels and tires.
The interior takes some getting used to, it has seats from a Acura, actually it looks good for unrestored condition, the back seats are OK but everything else aft of the front seats needs redoing. (Will try to post a picture of the interior tomorrow).
When I started looking at 928s I wanted a sunroof, rub strips and a spoiler... but this one I find looks great without any of those. The paint is decent in my opinion, the body has no obvious faults... and did I mention I like the wheels?!

It looks beautiful. By the way, this month's edition of Excellence magazine describes the '78 as the best driver's car amongst the whole lot of iterations.
"The oldest...is the one we just might pick for pure driving enjoyment...if you want unfiltered steering feel and the ability to drive it by its tail..."

Does anyone know what my wheels are? "Porsche" is cast into the spoke so I assume they are from some other model of Porsche. They are 18" with 265/35ZR18 93W Marshal tires (on the rear).
There is a separated seam in the driver's seat, otherwise they are perfect. The dash has 3 or 4 very small cracks in between the defroster vents.
And yes, there are strings of purple LEDs under the dash that come on when the door is opened... hmmm, at least they are not under the car.
