Default Center Console Year to Year Differences 89-90?

PET shows different part numbers for an '89 vs. '90 for both leather and leatherette. Are they different? Because of airbag dash on '90+ year cars perhaps?

The center console on my '90 GT has a broken plastic cross piece at the front of the shifter boot area, which now includes the plastic tabs for the ash tray. I'd like to either repair it if I can find all the broken pieces or replace the console. Prefer to repair it as the console is in great shape other than that.

Any help on if the center consoles are really different from year to year, or ideas on repairing what I've got would be greatly appreciated.

Console changes shape at the right upper corner where it intersects the dash- becomes rounded in '90 vs. squared off in '89.

That's what I was wondering, sounds like due to the change to the airbag dash.

Thanks Rob!

Now I'm just wondering if gluing the pieces back together will hold... I still have to find one small piece though, prolly somewhere down on the tunnel.
