power steering hoses
'93. Sorry about the size, I need to relearn how to resize. I 'm replacing P/S hoses. I'll call pic 1 a flex hose b/c the end is flexible. Pic 2 is the rack and the yellow cap is a new hose with a protective cap still in place and it has no flex at the banjo connection. Can anyone confirm the flexible hose connects to the left orifice on the rack? I'm 90% sure that is correct. The pic is from under car looking up and forward so left is driver's side.

Just did this job yesterday and I can confirm left side(if you are under car looking towards headlights) on a LHD car is correct.
FYI - We took the original busted hose to a local brake and hydraulic line shop and had them crimp on new rubber lines. $28.00 versus a new line for ~ $275.00.

NC, thanks, Now I have to find a shop; the one recommended to me wants to cut it and braze a new fitting. Not going to do that. Or just run rubber one end to the other, not going to do that either.
Rick: ". . . . teach a man to fish . . ." Just kidding, but does anyone know Picassa, and how to do what you did? what a pain this stuff is.
