Daytona drivers school...!
Morning everyone, I wanted to make sure that everyone knows about an upcoming event at Daytona International Speedway..
The event is open to all vehicles, Audi, Porsche BMW, Corvettes, there are no restrictions, (with the exception of open top cars, sorry Boxsters and S2000 people) I currently have an Indy car registered to one of the instructors and their might even be two DP cars. lots of track time and the repaved track is as smooth as glass, transitions are perfect now and the apron is 10 feet wider since the repave..
Two hours of track time per Day, four 30 min sessions, two in the morning, two after lunch.
The event is on Motorsportreg.com, or mail in applications at the link below.
Single days are available..
Loading in on Thursday the 5th of December, on track 6th-8th of December...
We have the owners lot for Motorhomes, also Motorhomes can stay over on Sunday evening, leaving by Monday noon..
Any other questions just let me know..
Thanks,
DP

You can always go to the upcoming PCA DE at Daytona for much less if you are an established Black Solo level driver. Three days is only $575. The one upcoming is on Oct 4-6th. Go to ClubRegistration.net Same track, same fun, maybe a bit less track time, but for half the price & you're supporting PCA. And you get to watch PCA Club Racing while you're there.
Info from ClubRegistration.net:
Florida Citrus and Florida Crown Regions of PCA are sponsoring a DE at the historic Daytona International Speedway on Oct 4-6, 2013. The DE will be held in conjunction with the PCA Club Race. It is open to advanced solo drivers only. You should have driven a minimum of 4 DEs in the Black run group, with open passing, or be a qualified PCA instructor. Please be sure your CR.net Profile is up to date before you register.
You will get lots of track time -- at a great price. The registration fee for 3 days is $575 and $500 for 2 days. Registration is very limited so sign up now. Pit stalls space is $150 for either two or three days. Sign up for a pit stall on the Evenmt Option page.
The event is open to all marques, and is not limited to Porsches. All cars must have a technical inspection at a professional shop. We recommend that cars be equipped with DOT "R" tires, but street tires rated for speeds of 149 mph or higher (V, W, Y, or Z)may be used. Tires must be new of nearly new. Boxsters and other late model Porsche convertibles (996/997) may participate with the tops up. Boxster Spyders must run with the top up, but may not exceed 124 mph. In addition, we strongly recommend a roll bar or full cage, a harness, a HANS device, and PCA endorsed track insurance (available through pcahpdeins.locktonaffinity.com).
The host hotel is the Hilton Garden. (Phone 386-944-4000; http://hiltongardeninn.hilton.com/en...tyhocn=DABAHGI) We have also made arrangements for overflow with the Best Western Indigo (386-258-6333). Be sure to mention the PCA Club Race/DE.
If you have any questions, please contact us.

Thanks for the info. Black solo is probably a few years off for me, though. I'm on DE #3 (same weekend; Watkins Glen) running in the White run group. Will certainly keep this in mind for future reference; definitely a goal to work towards.

We have a single day option for $500, for that price you get two hours of track time, registration is also on Motorsportreg.com, same host hotel..
Four 30 min sessions on the Rolex course, two in the morning, 2 after lunch..
You will love driving at Daytona....!
I also have had 3 people split the $1200 so it ends up $400 per day...
