Default unsolved windshield washer inop

Windshield washer stopped working, took the pump out and opened it up, its clean
hook it up to battery, it works, it pumps water, hook the plug to test light, pull the switch, light comes on, hook up to voltmeter, register 11.25 v but as soon as i hook pump back to plug, pull the switch, wiper on but no sound, no nothing???
Am i missing something?
Thanks
Barry

Monitor the voltage while operating with the pump connected.

Barry - silly question but which pump are you checking - the one on the bottom of the washer tank or the one in the engine bay?

I don't have another motor, the one from the intensive washer pump is seized.
I will check the fuse but if fuse is burnt, would the test light still works?

We have tried different ground location and there is power.

Not silly at all, it happens....its the one in the engine bay for the windshield.
I was trying to swap the intensive pump but that prop has not been used in years and i open it up it was all seized. I wonder if anyone mod the headlight pump to windshield?

It may if there is very poor connection somewhere - fuse or otherwise - unloaded it may look OK - loaded is may collapse down to a much lower voltage - too low to operate the motor.

plug in a test light to the washer pump then pull the switch ,
if that doesnt work then use the positive side to the test light and ground the other side of the light to a good ground this will check the ground path

my guess is that the fuse connections are corroded.

to really check this,

drop the CE panel so you get to the back of the panel,

find the wires for the washer,
and using the test light see if each wire has 12v

NOTE the fuse can be good but the wire connection to the back of the pfuse hold could be bad

I did try the test light procedure in the plug, light comes on each and every pull.
I am not too sure about the ground path part?
Thanks
