Default Piston rings

What is the difference between OEM and Deves rings, besides the price?

As far as I know there is no OEM supplier of rings for the 82 only Porsche so hence the price of $119 a piston set. You need input from an engine builder to comment an aftermarket rings and their compatibility.

I got a set of standard piston rings from Pelican from Deves for $231 for a 4.5 L all eight cylinders.

As I said not aware of anyone using these rings in a 928 so be careful. Search on Rennlist for information about Deves and the 928 engine.
I am not saying they will not work but you may be the first to try them so let us all know how it goes.

I just checked Deves out and seriously bad press on 911 cars. Lots of smoke and seems to me this applies to cast iron as well as alloy blocks.
