I think it may come down to personal preference. I purchased 6000k LED's for the license plate lights and got the result I was looking for. But when I installed them in the interior lights, it was just too harsh on my eyes and made the interior look all washed out. So I put some 3000k LED's in and it's just what I wanted there. Much brighter than the original incandescent bulbs but still a warm looking light.

Thank you very much. To your point of personal preference, i'm going for the whiter/brighter look. This white/brighter look is best captured by the license plate light picture you provided - i like the light on the left. Any thoughts much appreciated - you've already given me a lot of direction. Thank you.

928 Owners alike know "the 911 is the poor man's 928." Lol....

My point is us 928 owners need to do some mods (like lights) and we turn more heads, across men, children and even women than any air cooled 911 driver does...

1989 928 S4
My door/white lights and light above the rear view mirror do not turn on my very clean 1989 S4.
i've checked/replaced:
Fuse 7 - interior lights, pod, diagnostics fuse
Fuse 24 interior lights and Diagnostics
Fuse 43 - license plat lights, underhood light
Fuse 44 - Console & Power outlet lights

I've cleaned and Deoxit cleaned the door light plug/switch between the front of the door jam and rear facing portion of the front side panel that is adjacent to the hood.

I'm stumped, its a small detail as most everything else works but i'd like these lights to work.
Any advice, thoughts much appreciated.

I use these, I like updating to LED's as they don't get hot and do not drain the battery as fast when on, less draw on the Alternator too
Note: with LED's you need to match color with color of the lens.
