NOTE it would be a really good idea to unwrap all of these wires and take pictures of them before you do any cutting or splicing,

Also take the computer connectors apart as well and take pictures of the wires and where they have been spliced,

What your goal is is to restore the original configuration of the car harness.

Note the more info you provide the better the chances that you will not see smoke when you turn the key

I've looked at the engine electronics sheet for the MY85 and can't even find a Violet wire :-(

You're going to have to go back to first principles and trace each wire as Stan says. I can scan and send you the wiring diagrams from the WSM, and also the pin connections of the LH ECU.
