Question about ZF number on early 8-disk LSD housing
Hi,
I should know the ZF number punched on the housing of the early 8-disk LSD
This number is not a porsche spare part number , it's the internal number of the manufacturer Zahnradfabrik Friedrichshafen.
The number reads like this : 4061 XXX XXX or 4061 XXX
See attached picture ...unfortunately it doesn't show all digits.
I've found this picture here on rennlist .
TIA,
Thommy

Moin,
My later style LSD has the number 4061006320 33389 S40.
Earlier style LSD numbers found on Rennlist: 4061006205, 4061006250, 4061006293.
Why do you need the number?

Hi Aryan,
many thanks for the numbers. A specialist (www.limitedslip.de) needs these numbers to order parts from ZF previously to an overhaul of my LSD . It seems that not only the friction disks are worn out but maybe also the bevel pinions etc inside.
At Porsche some LSD parts are already sold out.

Tuomo, I think you should make contact with the ZF company in Germany and ask your questions about the numbers.
