3rd Coast 2013

Peter,
It was good to see you again and have you drive up with us. You did a good job of keeping up. Of course you know that it's not good for the twin turbo to sit in Houston while you are SC, so just let me know and I'll be happy to blow the carbon out once in a while!

Don,
I'll be back in Houston Thxgivings weekend. Be glad to let you drive the 500 HP red beast. You're right, we don't want to let it sit still too long!
Maybe we should drive up to Dallas sometime for breakfast so Sean can see what a Kuhn TT looks like. Obviously he does not. When we were waiting in the parking lot of the Olive farm after the little "hit-and-run" accident, he walked right by my open hood, but he did not see anything. He was too hurried to get his front license plate from his trunk and put it on his dash, before the one cop made it to his car.

My vote was for Jim M, but the fix was already establised in the parking lot Sun for both "Crusty Rusty" and "Favorite Non 928" It was a fun event and this was a fun way to cap it off a great weekend. T

Pure brilliance Jim in your post. I still love it - I think we should all read that mantra every day.

You indeed got third place. Fitting for Third Coast. Congrats.....lol
PS: You received 5 votes. Second place was 18, and we managed to get to 22 people for the ringer-Jarrod lol.

Well, you guys certainly got me! I was completely unaware of the movement behind my back on the "Crusty Rusty" award, so to say I was surprised would be a huge understatement. Can't say who was more surprised - me, or Roger. I don't know how to get the mastermind behind it back, but at least I have a whole year to think about it.
As good as that was, I thought presenting the "Best Non-928" award to Tony was even better. Pure genius, and I know Tony took it in good fun - as it was intended. I, being unaware of the "fix" and seeking to maintain the integrity of the election process <cough, cough>, had voted for Mayzurk.
BTW Tony - thanks for bringing JP to 3rd Coast, it was great to see it in person. Kudos to you for such an awesome build with incredible attention to detail - you do it right! I was also honored to give you a ride in the Velvet Hammer and hope you enjoyed it.
Thanks to everyone involved in putting on another great event. You guys are the best!

If anyone took decent pictures of my two cars I'd love to see what you have...I didn't get a chance to take a single one
Roger: Mike is happy Thanks again on his behalf.

I voted for Third Coast as the Best Car Event of the Year!
I had a wonderful weekend. Time seemed to fly by so fast and we just ran from event to event and I don't feel like I got enough time in to visit with everyone. Can we add one more day next year?
It was so great to see everybody from both near and far and we had alot of new faces this year. From what I've heard we haven't scared them away - Bonus!
I think we have the best group around and I can't say it enough...Texas hospitality is BEST. I had such a wonderful time with wonderful people I am already on a countdown for next year!
Although I can always fall back on my ability as a sign-language interpretation artist should I ever lose my job - I would like to take this opportunity to Publicly Thank Mike and Roger both for being so cool and allowing me the freedom of creative comedic expression on a daily basis and especially at these public events where i'm sure they would like to bury their heads in shame. (I have a sign for that too!) Thank you Guys!
DFW Crew - You Rock! Texas Crew - We Rock!
Third Coast is the Coast with the Most!
