I live in Queens Im looking to get a 928 and im wondering about other enthusiasts and known good mechanics in the 5 boros & Long Island. Don't know when Ill get the car? 3-8 months but this gives me plenty of time to read up and get myself familiar with the problems to look for in a car this age........when the time comes the best thing I could do is pick up a car from a fellow forum member who is an enthusiast and looking to sell.

Ive never been in a 928, but I know I want one. Im coming from a 2004 BMW 545i so Im loving the German NA 8 cylinder engines.

Maybe when there is a get together I can go and check out some of you guys cars?

Hi welcome. Last year we had a lot more get togethers, but this year we had couple at my shop back in spring. Hopefully when the new region rep takes over maybe we can get something together before the cold weather sets in. And I'm here to help if need it.
Mike did a great job but unfortunately he is moving away.

See Pete in smithtown, great guy and knows the 928's. I went to a few GTG and they were great.

On Monday nights @ 6pm there is a car meet in the lot of the Pennysaver Amphitheatre. Exit 63, North Ocean Ave, off the LIE.
Usually it is El Greco, myself, and beer.
I have a great relationship with the organizers.
If we all plan to attend, I can get a section blocked for us.
There is usually a nice variety of cars.
Let me know who is interested, and I will get it together.
