Default Vendor cringe

Can't help but wonder if our beloved 928 parts vendors cringe sympathetically when they fill our orders for parts that are a royal pita to install... clutch master/blue hose, shifter cup, rear wheel bearings, etc.

On the contrary. All our venders love the 928 so much that they envy your upcoming project!

Perhaps... or they recognize that one new part leads to identifying the next weak part in the chain. I'd feel better if they enclosed a note saying "Condolences, we feel your pain."

On the contrary, I think the vendors get great satisfaction selling these parts to us knowing what it entails. They have been there many, many times and know it's part of the process.02 T

And they probably already know what parts you'll be ordering next.

And they also know what is needed for any given situation. Even if I don't.

So they will say "You might want to include this in your order."

Which saves time and frustration.

A very good argument of why to order from Roger and the like versus price shopping the whorehouse - I mean warehouse suppliers.

And when you add in knowing the quality level and how well they stand behind their product, the "Cheap" suppliers become less and less of a bargain.

I like a low price as well (if not more) than the next guy, but you have to look at the big picture, especially when it comes to specialty items like this.

The lowest price is not always the best deal.
