Default Idle Roughness

My 82 5 speed has a bit of a rough idle, almost like a slight lopey cam in a SB Chevy. RPM are about 900 at idle, new vacuum lines all around, new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, green wire and all injectors done by WitchHunters. We advanced spark to about 27 degrees to see if performance improved and no emission testing for old cars in Texas. The throttle had a little lag from idle rpms when you rev the engine hesitating and almost dying, but high rpm performance was greatly improved. I reduced advance to about 25, which helped with the throttle lag from idle and higher rpm range is still good, but still have a bit of a rough idle. Any ideas or is this something we will have to live with. BTW, original advance from PO was less than 23 degrees, don't ask me why. Since advancing timing, fuel economy has definitely went up.
