I sent my injectors off to WitchHunter which did a great job and my car runs great. However, if you use their service and pay to have hoses added to your injectors, BE SURE to measure the hoses before attaching them to your fuel rails. The drivers side rail went in very easily, but the passenger side, especially #3 injector would not seat while on the rail not matter what I did. Of course #3 is by far the most difficult to reinstall due to the steel fuel lines very close to that injector. I could get 1,2 and 4 to bolt down, but 3 just sat there mocking me by showing it orange tip while the other three injectors were seated nicely.
After about 2 hours of multiple removals, I removed the #3 injector from the rail and it seated just fine by itself. I realized that the #3 injector hose may be the wrong length. I removed them again and sure enough, #3 was 4-5mm shorter than the other three hoses. After I replaced the hose with the same length as the other, it went right in. This little tip may save someone immeasurable frustration and the creation of new combinations of curse words for your neighbors to enjoy.

Sounds like you've got it under control.
Something similar happened to me.
Hose length of exactly 50mm works on the mid year cars, including EuroS

The hoses are installed with the a crimp type clamp on the injector end, no clamp on the fuel rail end. The crimp clamp is impossible to use again if you have to remove the hose. I added screw type clamps at the fuel rails for all injectors, $2.50 for 4 at AutoZone. A screw type clamp will barely fit down by the injector on #3 due to the close probity to steel fuel lines, so you have to twist it around until it doesn't interfere with seating or it forces the electrical connector off. I paid an extra $40 for expedited service so my kid could drive his 928 for the first day of school and they were out of the shop in one day. BTW, if your electrical connectors are a bit brittle and missing a corner of the plastic, I used black cable zip ties to keep the connectors tight on the injectors. Seems to work ok.
