I think she's telling me something...
Yesterday I decided it was time to let my guards red '84 928S go. The tipping point was when I went to start her a couple of weeks ago and got nothing, nada. The battery was fully charged and well connected yet she acted like there wasn't a battery there. 
She's not the roughest of cars but her best days are well past. She definitely needs new TT bearings, the transmission is iffy, electrical gremlins abound, the a/c doesn't work, heat blows constantly, the sunroof doesn't work and leaks, the gauges no longer work, the wheels need refinishing and the radiator is shot. Plus, it looks like she had been in an accident at some point and repaired. In other words, she's been a step or two away from a parts car for a long, long time. The previous owner apparently tried to revive her by giving her a Maaco paint job and new seat covers and door inserts. When she's clean, she looks decent. Luckily, I got her cheap and enjoyed driving her for a few years.
I called over to DC Auto to see if they were interested in buying her as a parts car. Sure enough they'd take her and even send a tow truck to pick her up. We settled on a price. All I needed to do was move her for pickup and contact them again with her location.
Yesterday evening I go out to try and start her. I wanted to move her if possible, to get her to a spot for the tow truck. I didn't expect her to do anything. But I thought I'd give it one last try anyway.(I really didn't want to push/pull her into position.) I sat there enjoying the comfort of her seats, remembering what a joy she was to drive when she ran well; how my kids enjoyed her as much as my 944 turbo. I chuckled at the thought that at 47 years old, I owned two Porsches of which one is Guards Red and how that has led to many good hearted jokes from friends.
I inserted the key and gave it a turn. The interior lights came on, the radio pumped out one of my favorite songs and you guessed it, she started right up.
I think Bessie is trying to tell me something.

As it sounds like you've had years of experience, this also means you have some years of age. Make it one of your pastimes/hobby at this point.
The car looks great and the projects are doable. Make them fun.
Keep it.
It is as easy as a phone call to dc auto if you really want to let it go.

Hey go invest 20.00 and install a new ground strap from the battery to the chassis,
Bet thats your issue,
the new owner will only laugh at how easy it was to get your ole Bessie running,
of course he probably threw a few 53 relays into the CE panel as well.
I wouldnt sell off a piece of your past that you shared with you and your kids.
There could be more great times to come.

I have a list longer than yours 4 years ago, i started with electrical, all the fluids, all the belts then the cooling system, complete tune up including plug wires, lots of cleaning, tightening, adjusting, i did that for 2 years whenever i have time only in the summer and all done, the last two year i just drive drive drive and only replaced the ignition switch, window switch and sunroof switch and she has not broke down since i say you keep her, its mostly electrical.
