Not sure what brand I have, but I have flushed the a/c on one of my '86.5's before. I did it after a 'reputable' shop did not follow the fill volume and overcharged system by about 1lb. This may not have been a terrible problem, but they also added 8oz oil and compressor came apart. I bought the flush and equipment online and was time consuming to do. Probably the hardest part was rear a/c. Fiddly parts that are hard to disconnect.

When putting it all together I used the compressor kit from 928intl. (wish they still had it) and have not had to do anything with it for over 10 years. Still is r-12 and ice cold.
