ETA: I’ve had a change of heart. After perusing every window sticker I could find online today, I think the error is in our door tags. All the late 80’s-early 90’s window stickers I found looked like they were printed with Dot Matrix printers and there is a clear difference between zeros and O’s, the VINs being WP0…

In hindsight, I think the issue started with the original CO title I got when I purchased my car in Denver in 2004, which was WPO.

I’m going to contact PCNA about getting a corrected door sticker. It sucks to go through 2-3 hours of this every year. I’ll post any response I get.

In all my searching (above) the earliest WP0 door sticker I found was a 1998 911 (996). That doesn’t mean they didn’t fix it prior to that but I think all late 80’s-early/mid 90’s cars were affected. 928\944\964\968\993.
