Recently my rear Air Conditioner blower motor has been squealing, so it's time to replace it since I have the rear seats out from putting in new carpet. I'm having a tough time finding parts and guides for the job, even though it should be pretty straight forward (I'd like to know about any hidden clips and tricks that might not seem obvious).
Is there a part number for just the motor? I can't seem to find it anywhere... and the used stuff I see on ebay or from 928 suppliers is all paired with the evaporator and everything as an assembly. What have others done when they get a squeal from the rear AC unit?

You can get a younger unit from salvage. Before doing that though I would take the old one out and inspect it to see what is causing the squeal. Check the brushes too. It may be something you can fix.
A far a removing it goes the tricky part is remembering to take the rear screws out and then sliding and lifting the top trim. There are thin plastic posts that may easily snap off. If they do snap I wouldn't worry about it too much. You can still assemble the trim and it will stay put without those posts. The rest of the removal is pretty straight forward. Take pictures or how the controller and probe fit in there. The controller is a tight fit. Take the opportunity to clean everything well. When reassembling the while unit is a right fit and you may need to test the motor, listen for normal ops, but adjust as necessary.

The motor housing is exposed and the trim is off, since I had to take it off to remove the rear seats. I'll remove the motor to ensure that it's what is causing the squeal, but I'm 95% sure that it's the culprit. It's been spinning for the past 26 years!

Thanks, Mark! I'm going to try and put a dab of penetrating oil on the motor shaft and see if that remedies the issue. It seems to squeal whenever the motor is horizontal, probably due to the weight of the fan cylinder (even though it's tiny).
If that doesn't work, I'll send you a message for purchase.
EDIT: the penetrating oil seemed to do the trick... for now. The fan is now extremely quiet unless at full speed, when the noise of moving air becomes noticeable.
