It must be my location. It's a heck of a nice 928 for the money.

It is. We'd have talked months ago if you weren't several thousands of miles away.

I am talking to my father in law about it. He's a 928 guy and yours looks to be the same color as his 85 Auto.

Nice looking car.

Like others have suggested; take it off the market until spring. When it gets nice out, drive it to some car shows or a cars and coffee, park it and put a "For Sale" sign in the window. Possibly have some info (magazine articles) of how it was a revolutionary car far ahead of its time and expensive when new because it was Porsche's flagship model.

If you list it for $7k and let them "negotiate" you down to $6,500, you won't have any problem selling it. People in the 40+ age range remember these cars when they were new, and $50,000 for a car was incredibly high back in the 80s ($50k will buy you a good car NOW, never mind 30 years ago!). A lot of people can swing less than 10k for a weekend toy, especially in the oil rich area where you live.

I have a nice 87 944 black on black with 130000 in really nice shape. I've always wanted a 928 and might consider a trade.
